The 2024 Marriott Business Council Ireland & Mount Juliet Estate Golf Event in aid of Barretstown, is being held on Tuesday October 8th. Joining competitors on the day will be pro-golfer Mark Power, who is a Mount Juliet Estate ambassador and celebrity illusionist Keith Barry, who is a Barretstown ambassador. Competitors can also view the OFX Legends Tour Trophy which will be on display in the Mount Juliet Estate Clubhouse, hosts of the 2025 Legends Tour.

This year’s tournament is the first event hosted by Mount Juliet Estate in support of Barretstown. Marriott Ireland Business Council, which comprises of the general managers from the nine Irish Marriott properties will be joined on the day by 128 golfers from around Ireland, proud to support this year’s charity partner Barretstown.

It’s a shotgun start for the teams at 9:00am, who will compete on the renowned Mount Juliet Estate Jack Nicklaus Signature Design golf course. This course recently hosted the 2021 and 2022 Irish Open competitions with winner Adrian Meronk taking the 2022 Irish Open trophy. Having hosted many international competitions and five Irish Opens, the Mount Juliet Estate Jack Nicklaus Signature Design golf course has challenged golfing legends like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Ernie Els, among others.

Competitors are asked to arrive at Mount Juliet Estate Golf Club at 7am to register. Here, they will enjoy a light breakfast in Jack’s Bar at The Clubhouse and receive their coveted goodie bags before heading out to the Mount Juliet Driving Range for a warm-up practice.

In addition to the golf tournament, there will be a ‘Beat The Pro’ challenge at the 11th hole with Mount Juliet Estate’s Director of Golf, PGA Fellow Matt Sandercock.

At 2:00 pm, the competition will conclude, with Mark Power and Keith Barry presenting prizes for 1st and 2nd place. Additional prizes will be awarded for ‘Nearest to the Pin’ and ‘Longest Drive’. The prizegiving will be followed by a delicious lunch created by Executive Head Chef Andy Nolan, served in the beautiful Hunter’s Yard McCalmont Suite.

Mount Juliet Estate is proud to have chosen Barretstown as its charity partner. All funds raised during the 2024 Marriott Ireland & Mount Juliet Estate Charity Golf Event will be donated to Barretstown, one of four events planned by Mount Juliet Estate this year to support the vital services Barretstown provides.

Barretstown provides free, medically supervised camps and programs for children and their families living with serious illness. These services, including accommodation, food, and medical assistance, are offered at no cost to the families and are made possible through donations and fundraising efforts from corporate supporters like Marriott Ireland and Mount Juliet Estate.

Mark Dunne General Manager at Mount Juliet Estate, said, “The work Barretstown does is so vital, and we are delighted to be able to utilise the Mount Juliet Estate Golf Course for this event, which promises to be competitive, fun, and will raise important funds for such a wonderful charity. We are thrilled to see it being so well supported and look forward to a great day!”
