Adult learners from Tipperary Education and Training Board (ETB) campuses in Carrick-on-Suir, Clonmel, Tipperary Town, Thurles and Cashel were presented with QQI Full Award certificates at a special ceremony at the ETB’s Army Barracks Campus in Clonmel. The event on November 14, saw honours being presented to learners studying the areas of Healthcare Support, Beauty Therapy, Animal Care, Culinary, Horticulture and ICT (Information and Communications Technology), with others receiving certificates in Community Addiction Studies and ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence).
Learners who received QQI Full Awards successfully completed a comprehensive program in their field of study and have met all the required standards and criteria set by QQI. QQI is the national awarding body for further education and training.
Tipperary ETB was represented at the event by Chief Executive, Bernadette Cullen, Director of Further Education and Training (FET), Colin Cummins, Director of Organisation, Support and Development, Liam McGrath, Adult Education Officer, Kaye Mullaney and Tipperary ETB Chairperson, Cllr Mary Hanna-Hourigan, who all expressed their admiration for the dedication displayed by the adult learners during their education journey, Further Education Coordinator at Tipperary ETB, Kathleen Grimes, said: “We are delighted to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our adult learners. This certification is a sign of their commitment to personal and professional development, and we are proud to play a part in their journey.”
